This month, the Universal Works collaboration with John Smedley that was teased months prior released at Smedley and Universal Works stores in London. The collection of super fine merino wool knitwear serves as a compliment to the UW Autumn/Winter collection and fits seamlessly with Smedley’s products in store. “I have been looking forward to this for a long time,” UW designer David Keyte shared. “Smedley’s heritage and quality are something I have always admired so to work with them has been a professional high point for me.”
Smedley’s long-storied history dates back to 1784 making it one of the oldest brands to date with a reputation of providing impeccable knits that are intended to last a lifetime. Smedley made knits for Vivienne Westwood, Margaret Howell, Nicole Farhi, Comme des Garçons, and Paul Smith and can now add Universal Works to that list.
