It's here! Well, tomorrow it is, but the Timberland "40 Below" Super Boot is back. The original boot that was released in 1979 to bear the harsh Alaskan winter is updated for today with 200 grams of PrimaLoft insulation, a Highway Waterproof leather upper and a Vibram outsole.
The Super Boot stands at 10 inches tall and was originally tested in 40 degrees below conditions to ensure that the product would be worthy of the name. The boots are built tough, but what really drove up the demand was the many appearances it made in music videos and most notably on Tupac's in Juice. Hyped yet? Run over to David Z and Jimmy Jazz in New York City, Atrium/Kith in Brooklyn, Villa in Philadelphia and Detroit, Major in DC, DTLR also in DC and Baltimore and Dope in Los Angeles.
The Timberland "40 Below" Super Boot will hit retailers tomorrow, November 23rd, for $260 and will be available in brown and black.
