We want to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos: the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision,” explains Milan-based retailer Patrizio Vita, who opened the second location of his popular streetwear shop, One Block Down, last month in the Italian capital. “Our aspiration is not only that of becoming a concept store, but a space unique in its genre, a hub for the multiple activities that will take place within its walls.”

The new shop features 3 levels. A lower level will house warehouse and commercial operations. The ground floor will feature the main shopping area and a cafe offering vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives as well as housing a market area with a selection of export-friendly imported and local specialty products, dedicated primarily to tourists. The store itself will stick to its sneaker roots, while also offering a well curated selection of clothing Made in Italy and top of the line products from the main international sports and streetwear brands, as well as an array of accessories, collectible objects, fragrances, and action sports gadgets.

A mezzanine level will host a studio dedicated to style, photography, graphics, image management and communication, all of which have always been one of the driving activities of One Block Down, which will now offer consultancy to corporate and private customers alike.

The space focuses around a basketball court, which will be the pulsating heart of the activity – a modern mix of steel, concrete, hardwood, tiles, glass and led lights that characterizes a meeting place, a social market to a network of consumers, collectors, tourists and industry insiders who live, work, and bond in the world of fashion, art and design.
