Scandinavian men’s accessories brand, South Lane was founded in 2011 by Filip Bjernebo. The brand’s name is inspired by the artistic, ‘Södermalm’ district in Sweden, a district comparable to New York City’s SoHo. The stainless steel quartz South Lane watches originate in Japan with a very clean, simple, and minimal design inspired by Bjernebo’s style preference. Each watch makes a bold statement without going over-the-top, fit for fashionable, jet setting men on-the-go that believe less is more and enjoy highlighting fine details.
This year, South Lane launched the ‘Urbaner’, the brand’s boldest watch, and they continue to perfect the design in SS14 with the introduction of interchangeable leather watch straps that are produced in Portugal. The midnight blue watch face is complimented by eight interchangeable straps of your choice, customizing the watch to fit your mood and character.
Out of the eight new watch straps, the two-toned, leather Urbaner Elegant Slacker stands out due to its ability to make the midnight blue watch face color pop. ”Every style-conscious man has at least one solid-colored leather watch strap”, said Bjernebo, ” what we were aiming for with this collection, was something out of the ordinary, created for those with an appreciation of the avant garde”.
The full South Lane watch collection with new leather straps will be at Capsule New York and Capsule Vegas.
