From the genius (or jean-ius) minds behind MOMOTARO Jeans comes JAPAN BLUE jeans. JAPAN BLUE was founded in 2010 with a mission to push the limits of the denim fabric. While brands innovate with new skinny and slouchy fits and interesting detailing, JAPAN BLUE changes the game with a focus on the denim itself. The silhouettes are simple yet modern. JAPAN BLUE takes a minimalist approach designing jeans so that it does not take away from the jeans’ beauty with age over time. The possibilities are endless in selecting the cotton, spinning it, dying it, and weaving it. Thousands of fabrics can be made from these four processes, and JAPAN BLUE aims to explore every single one in order to produce the best possible denim available.
Their mission is “to make jeans you like” and they trust us to “create something beautiful by simply wearing it”.
For SS14, Japan Blue calls their inspiration “POP jeans”. “We show jeans by POP color and POP pattern,” the designers explained. “We want to show several kinds of jeans to our customer. Our jeans are not only vintage style, but also urban, cute, strange POP style.” The brand has designed jeans in an assortment of fun colors to add to your wardrobe. Their piece of the season is pair of POP color stretch selvage jeans. “We managed to pack POP color, vintage, and relaxed into one pair of jeans.” With the brand’s endless possibilities in material production, we had no doubt that they could pull this off.
Check out what else is in store for JAPAN BLUE’s SS14 collection at Capsule Paris this weekend, Capsule New York next month, and Capsule Las Vegas in August.
