June 02, 2008 BY CAPSULESNEWS

PurpleAnthology-634.jpgPurple Magazine, known for its often risque editorials shot by the likes of Terry Richardson, Juergen Teller, and Karl Lagerfeld, is bringing some of its Parisian flare to New York. Editor and playboy Olivier Zahm will be opening a New York office in September. This comes after the recently released Purple Anthology.

Purple's Anthology will include its iconic images of the underground muses it is so known for such as : Vincent Gallo, Chloe Sevigny, Kate Moss, and Kim Gordon. Along with the images by Terry Richardson, Richard Prince, Jack Pierson, and John Currin there will be complimentary essays by the likes of Glenn O'Brien and Gary Indiana. The text serves as a mediator between images and history: following the evolution of the relationship between art and fashion over the past fifteen years.
