Palladium Debuts Enzyme Washed Canvas Collection

Palladium 431 Just because the weather's warming up, doesn't mean you have to put away your heavy-duty footwear. Fresh for Spring 2010, Palladium has released their Enzyme Washed collection, an update of their classic canvas boot using a new washing process designed to accelerate the visual fading and weathering of each piece for a vintage, broken-in look. The Enzyme Washed collection is the next generation of canvas boots for Palladium, which has been using the fabric in various incarnations since the 1940's, when the French Foreign Legion took advantage of the materials superior breathability as a way to stay cool in the deserts of North Africa. Unlike the French Foreign Legion, the Enzyme Wash collection isn't just for men, with a full women's collection so all the ladies can get in on this action, too. The boots also feature burnishing on the rubber outsole and toecap, and come in black, metal and dark khaki. Check out more from Palladium's Enzyme Wash collection below. (Steve Dool)
