On the evening of February 7th, emerging designer Daniel Silverstein hosted his Fall/Winter 2014 collection as part of  Launch NYC Fashion Week. Launch NYC  is a fashion incubator which helps develop young designers through presenting their runway collections, facilitating retail opportunities, and showing collections to buyers. Silverstein is a 2010 F.I.T. graduate and independent designer who made an appearance on NBC’s Fashion Star.

His womenswear collection was quite unique as it encapsulated various looks, prints, and techniques, while not looking disjointed, but completely cohesive. The color palette included neutrals in black, white, dove grey, and ivory, with color punches in aubergine and persimmon.

Textiles were as diverse as the color palette, mixing woven silks, jersey, crochet, braided, and slashed elements. Together, all of these elements made Daniel’s presentation quite visually interesting, offering so many textures. Check out the gallery below to view more looks from the show.
