Now Open: Mohawk General Store Reopens

May 17, 2016 BY WATM STAFF

Mohawk General Store has been setting the bar for progressive bricks and mortar retailing for many years, thanks to its thoughtful curation of important independent fashion brands and lifestyle products. Every year Mohawk re-imagines its Silverlake, LA, space, redesigning, and remerchandising for a fresh, new look. This year the Mohawk team created additional open space in its menswear shop, upgraded the lighting system, and changed the color story, for a fresh look, and added a new mezzanine level that will contain carefully curated shop in shops from new and established brands.

For Spring Summer 2016 Mohawk has begun stocking brands such as Jan Jan Van Essche, Blue Blue Japan, Private White, and Christophe Lemaire among others. In addition, staple brands such as Engineered Garments, Nonnative, Dries Van Noten, Issey Miyake, and OAMC will be reimagined and re-introduced.

Mohawk will continue to stock unique home-goods and gifts including; vinyl, vintage sound equipment, apothecary, rare cacti, and other special decorative items. Brands include Hender Scheme, Lee West, Birdie, Master & Dynamic, D.S. & Durga, and Santa Maris Novella among others.

Lastly, SMOCK, Mohawk MAN’s Japan-made in-house brand, will also land this month with a full collection of pants, shorts, shirting, hats, and more. A Mohawk MAN exclusive.
