Women’s e-commerce site, Nasty Gal has launched their own line of footwear today, Shoe Cult. The shoe collection consist of an array of shoe styles ranging from bold, studded and strapped styles, to fun polka dot and leopard patterns and vibrant shoe colorways in silver, electric blue, and red. Nasty Gal currently sells shoes from Sam Edelman and Jeffrey Campbell and has no intention of severing ties with the designers, instead Shoe Cult will fill the gap for shoppers that want eye-catching shoes without going over their budget.
29-year-old founder and creative director, Sophia Amoruso appointed former Asos VP of design, Sarah Wilkinson to head the Shoe Cult collection as well as their in-house collection that launched exactly one year ago. The in-house collection accounts for a significant percentage of the business’ sales. A line of footwear was the logical next step for the multimillion dollar company which is also planning their venture into intimates next year and a retail location in the near future.
Shoe Cult has 45 shoe styles which will increase in number in the following months, and will be priced between $68 and $188.
