HUGE MAGAZINE: FASHION FORECAST 2009

March 12, 2009 BY CAPSULESNEWS

face.jpgIf you're looking for staying up on your trends this Spring or even this year look no further than Japan's Huge magazine. The March 2009 issue is packed with burgeoning new looks, designers, retailers and more. This magazine has been coming on strong for quite some time now. Not only is each issue completely as thought out as some designer collections shows but they're also as enjoyable to flip through. At times picking a theme such as the English country side then relating the brands and looks to films and trends approaching or currently here. Even someone who doesn't speak Japanese can appreciate this type of magazine. In the March Fashion Forecast issue everything from new styled layering seen from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci this spring to the art x fashion mix from Adam Kimmel. Some other notable trends were the use of pink for this Spring by brands like Dior Homme, Comme des Garcons, YSL and more, cropped pants, the use of futurism, wide cut tops, geometric patterns, sleeveless jackets and so much more. One of the best features we like are the interviews with some of the best retailers around such as Maria Luisa in Paris, Beams in Tokyo, South Willard in LA, Liberty in London and more. They basically show you some of the strongest collections they'll be carrying this season along with some pictures of key items. If your having trouble finding Huge magazine here in the states look no further than Kuniyoshi bookstore in New York City located right across the street from Bryant Park. They also sell issues online at retailers such as Colette. Your best bet however would be to just order a subscription from the website  Huge Magazine . (ACP)
