Trine Lindegaard is the name of this young Danish designer. Educated at the Royal College of Art and based in London, she’s integrates social projects in her designs.
”I work with Ghanese weavers, who weave in their traditional style,” she says as I meet her at her during Copenhagen Fashion Week. She travels to the small town the workers live in twice a year to work with them on developing the look – but she also works with inmates in prisons in the UK.
”I’ve done workshops there and I had some of the inmates give me feedback. It was very inspirational – some of them are old tattoo artists, so their drawings are really good,” notes Lindegaard.
Her colorful AW14 collection sees casual black pieces with a vibrant use of color; blue, yellow, and reds fullfill the look. Check it out in the pictures above, or visit her website here.
