Cocotchéqué Please! Laurence Airline SS15 Collection is a Riot of Print and Pattern

August 21, 2014 BY WE ARE THE MARKET

Entitled “Cocotchéqué”, Laurence Airline's new collection mixes amazing prints inspired by 1960s pop art, African jungle, papaya seeds with clean sportswear silhouettes. Large polka dots adorn shirts, and trousers and a key item for the season is a reworked tunic. Placing pockets and trims in unexpected places, designer Laurence Chauvin-Buthaud moves away from the formality of menswear to invent a more creative and personal language. The idea is for the wearer to mix and match patterns, silhouettes and scale, with unexpected results.

New for SS15 is the introduction of several styles which can also be worn by women, from carrot-shaped drawstring pants and patchwork shirts to boyfriend shorts and belted tunics.
