Our friends over at BBlessing have been super busy lately, First they curated the Means of Production event earlier this week along with our own (capsule) crew, then they debuted their spring/summer 2010 collection aat (capsule), and tonight they’re launching Athenaeum-- an edition of limited edition, handcrafted books featuring classic short stories and novellas illustrated by contemporary artists.  The first offering is a two-volume set of Ryder Robison, who's also had a hand in decorating the Ace Hotel, takes on Fitzgerald's "The Diamond as Big as the Ritz"; Libertine's Cindy Greene does W.W. Jacobs' "The Monkey's Paw"; and Bblessing creative director (and Surface to Air accessory designer) Daniel Jackson tackles Kafka's "In the Penal Colony" . Jackson also designed the deckle knife that comes with each set, which can be ordered with pages cut or uncut. Athenaeum goes on sale tomorrow at BBlessing for $300.  (men.style)
