UNMARKED Footwear was founded in Mexico by Claribel Perez and Hugo Fonce in 2011 with the goal of creating well designed footwear without foregoing high quality materials and production. Their SS14 collection is made up of waterproof suede and vegetable-tanned leather masterfully displayed on pairs of shoes with colorful woven accents. UNMARKED works closely with local factories to ensure that their pieces are impeccably put together and beautifully designed. No mistake goes unnoticed. Now those are some shoes we can’t wait to get our hands (and feet) on.
With all the summer thunderstorms, we’ve been thinking about rain jackets a lot this season. And if anyone is making rainwear chic again it’s Alexander Stutterheim, who had a vision to resurrect his grandfathers fisherman’s coat and build a line around the inspiration that ensued. The collection, now sold world-wide, features two keys pieces entitled the “Arholma” and the “Stockholm”–both are hand-sewn, wind and waterproof jackets made in Sweden. The fact that each piece is personally numbered and signed by the seamstress just makes it even cooler. Check these out at Capsule NY.
OURS, an LA based brand created by the wanderers of the world— think surfers, travelers and dreamers alike— has brought a collection for SS14 that perfectly reflects their restless tendencies. We’re seeing rich prints and colors reminiscent of a New England summer along with Japanese designs with hints of tropical explorations. To round off this eclectic and diverse collection, the in-house surfers bring that dash of nautical feel that we see season after season. Check out all the pieces at Capsule New York.
When we think of Swedish watches, we think of Daniel Wellington and his focus on classic minimal and striking time pieces. Interchangeable straps are key in the SS14 collection, which consists of four face-variations– silver or rose gold encased 40mm and 36mm diameter faces. Each watch face is sleek and looks perfectly classy worn with the classic leather strap, although we don’t think we’ll be able to resist the interchangeable straps in a multitude of colors and patterns.
