Last Night's CFDA Awards

Last night, the CFDA announced the winners of the coveted CFDA awards in a star studded ceremony at New York's Alice Tully Hall. Winners included industry old-timers including Marc Jacobs, who received the Womenswear Designer of the Year prize; and Thom Browne, who won Menswear Designer of the Year. Accessories Designer of the Year went to Capsule alumnae Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel of Mansur Gabriel.

The Swarovski Awards went to Brandon Maxwell for women’s wear; Alex, Matthew and Samantha Orley of Orley for men’s wear, and Paul Andrew for accessories.

Beyonce made a surprise appearance as she accepted the Fashion Icon Award, wearing over $9 million in diamonds, making a touching speech about how fashion has impacted her life.
