in_main1 The Inoue Brothers call what they do Scandinasian design, mostly because the pair were born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, but are of Japanese descent. When it comes to their line of knitwear, Satoru and Kiyoshi Inoue pull worldwide for inspiration. Back in the fall of 2008, for example, they sourced Bolivian alpaca, enlisting local artisans to spin their sweaters, and donated a percentage of the sales to the Bolivian Arco Iris Foundation, an organization that supports disadvantaged young people across the country. Theyve collaborated on Andean knits with Comme Des Garçons in the past, as well, and this season the brothers packed their wooly collection, and headed to South Africa to shoot their fall 2010 lookbook.
