Over the weekend, Solange Knowles married video director Alan Ferguson in a ceremony at New Orleans' Marigny Opera House. True to the singer's celebrated sense of style, the wedding was a fashion-forward affair, with the bridal party - including big sister Beyonce, mom Tina Knowles and fellow musician Janelle Monae - posing in all white for a portrait by photographer Rog Walker. Vogue.com reports that the all-female tableau was inspired by Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.
The bride's gown was a custom Humberto Leon for Kenzo creation (what was Carol doing?) accessorized with Lady Grey jewelry, while Ferguson wore an all-white Lanvin suit.
CNN was quick to point out all of the ways Solange's wedding bucked wedding tradition, including arriving together with her husband-to-be by bicycle and instructing all guests to wear white. However, the part we're most interested in hearing more about is the reported dance-off between Solange and her ten year-old son set to "No Flex Zone."
