The English heritage brand Sunspel has opened the doors to its first standalone store in Berlin. The new shop is located in the city’s lively Mitte district, known for its restaurants, cafes, and design stores. This location in Germany marks its first-ever store in Europe, since it was established in 1860.
The space will house the full menswear collection, as well as a curated selection of its womenswear. Like its store in England, which it opened back in 2010, the Berlin shop was designed with the same light, airy, and open aesthetic.
The fixtures were created using English and German wood and can be easily transformed into an exhibition space for events. For its first collaboration, Sunspel has invited German photographer Anne Schwalbe to exhibit a selection of her work.-- Erica Euse
