Meaning "of the woods," Silvae is a contemporary womenswear collection designed by Deborah Roberts. She is inspired by her surroundings in the Pacific Northwest, merging clean lines, textural fabrics and a love for fine art, which can be seen in her fabric prints developed with artist Olivia Knapp.
Fall 16 is takes inspiration from early modern artists Picasso, Delaunay and Calder, incorporating shape, texture and playfulness into the styles through oversized embroidered buttonholes, belt details, and organic cut outs.
Key items include Dora Culottes in dark green viscose with inverted box pleats and front overlays that come from the side seam and join through a self fabric belt at front waist, the Goldrosa Top comes in a black hairy plaid with long kimono sleeves and cutout detail at right shoulder. The Icon Vest in grey mohair wool blend with novelty buttons and oversized pockets
