ShopKeeper: Jenny Chung, No. 3 and Acrimony

May 09, 2016 BY CAPSULE

If ever there were a gem of a shop, it would undoubtedly be No.3. The San Francisco jewelry haven may only be 200 square feet, but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the dreamiest shops in town. Founded in 2013 by Jenny Chung—who also owns Hayes Valley fashion stalwart Acrimony—it’s a go-to spot for everything from engagement rings to one-of-a-kind necklaces to everyday bangles. With a mixture of established designers (think Bliss Lau, Jennie Kwon, Anna Sheffield) and emerging lines (J.Hannah and Vale are two notables), No.3 knows what’s up in the world of droolworthy jewels. To kick off this weekly shopkeeper column, Jenny gave us the lowdown on her favorite places in No.3’s neighborhood, Russian Hill.

Editor’s note: I’m a shopkeeper myself! A writer by trade, I run a shop in San Francisco called Legion and continue to freelance on the side. This column is a way for me to highlight my fellow shopkeepers and their beautiful spaces. -- Sydney Pfaff
