peasantstore1.jpgSince 2005, Peasant has been serving up the finest streetwear style to the citizens of Detroit.

Located in a suburb of Detroit, Peasant has become known as the place to go when looking for a NY-style retail experience and sophisticated independent streetwear labels that reflect an understated elegance, explains the store’s owner Brian. The shop carries mostly men’s wear, and the brand roster is a veritable who’s who list of the market’s hottest labels: Engineered Garments, W&H, Rogan, Oliver Spencer, Stone Island, and Made By Hand. A smaller women’s area offers Generra, Steven Alan and Earnest Sewn.

The name Peasant reflects the store owners’ vision—offering an assortment of fashion labels that bear “a quiet and subtle origin.”  Each piece comes from a heritage brand, or bears that sophisticated rugged/worn look that's so popular these days with the hipster set.

There’s also books, grooming products and a small assortment of footwear to entice the rather cultivated tastes of Peasant's clientele.
