Rep Talk: Andrew Parfitt

March 29, 2011 BY CAPSULESNEWS

Andrew Parfitt, sales manager at British showroom Egomark is a genuine English bloke with a great sense of humor who always makes the days spent at trade shows fly by. Parfitt oversees a great stable of brands, and has a new trick up his sleeve-- he's teamed up with Brand Progression's Mark Batista and industry vet Craig Ford to launch Jacket Required-- a new menswear trade show launching in London this summer. We caught up with him to talk about his sales business for some of the world's most exciting brands...

Brands you carry: Heritage Research, Gitman Vintage, Wings and Horns, Reigning Champ, Calabrese

How was the AW11 selling season? The season was the best so far for me. This was due to strong sell throughs from the previous season. The collections all have moved on as well, which made my job easier. There seems to be a transition in the market and I am fortunate my brands are where it's heading.

What’s happening with specialty store buyers? I believe they're backing the brands that are working a lot more than normal.

What were some strongest booking pieces for AW11? heritage longline parka, champ varsity jackets, wings tiger fleece, round collar button downs from Gitman, Ponyskin Calabrese

What are some of the key classifications retailers were looking for? Something new, unbranded.
