For hip New Yorkers (or anyone who wishes they were one), Worship Worthy is the blog to visit for daily updates on lifestyle, fashion, and event news. The trend forecasting site has regular features including Hail Mary (profiles of admirable NYC women in fashion or the arts), Temptations to Heist (a sort of photo collage of must-have trends), and The Confessional (interviews with a woman on the Hail Mary list) in addition to showcasing info on current downtown events and blurbs on their favorite things. Editorial director (who calls herself Saint Agnes on the site) gives us the lowdown on the blog and more after the jump.

Q: What is the concept behind Worship Worthy?
A: We’re an online daily newsletter that keeps our readers up to date on the latest lifestyle, fashion, and event news in downtown New York. It’s a think tank or trend forecasting service for a lot of people, too. We originally launched as a female-focused site but we have a growing male audience. We also do sales and PR for different brands but we’re REALLY selective of which ones we work with. As well, we do brand consulting, creative direction, and design projects, I’m currently working on a project for Nike bags and we have our own line of apparel launching very soon. Between me and my partners, we pretty much do it all!
Q: What is your background?
A: I’ve been designing clothing and accessories since 1998, mostly for streetwear brands such as Triple 5 Soul, Zoo York, Aem’Kei... And have freelanced for almost every streetwear or urban brand you can think of- Blue Marlin, Rocawear, Staple, House of Dereon, etc. I grew up submerged in streetwear but have outgrown it quite a bit. I know all aspects of design- conceptualizing, colors, fabric, garment construction, tech design, and production... I’m an Adobe Illustrator expert.
Q: What do you do when you're not working on Worship Worthy?
A: I’m the Director of Operations for the newly relaunched Haze clothing brand. Eric Haze does the graphics and I design the clothing and do production, sales, PR, and everything in between. We make a good team! Worship Worthy takes up more of my time though, there’s so many things going on right now. Both my partners have full time jobs, one does production for Supreme and the other works for a PR company.
Q: What trend do you like right now?
A: I absolutely love riding boots right now, it’s my obsession on ebay everyday. I’m exercising self control though, and not buying anything til I can really reward myself.
Q: What is a typical day like for you?
A: Typically, I start work around 10 and because I work from home sometimes if I feel like it I’ll go for a jog at the McCarren Park track (other times I just think about it!). I’ve been visiting more showrooms lately and I’m always digging for brands or news or sorting through all the press releases we receive, planning an event, or designing. I feel like I’m always writing, emailing and photoshopping. When I’m not working I veg out in front of the TV watching brainless reality shows. I’m always hanging out with my man and go out with my girlfriends about once a week.
Q: What are your favorite designers, bands, cities?
A: My favorite designers are mostly indie and “avant garde” ones- Alexander Herchcovitch, Henrik Vibskov, Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott- though I’m usually a t-shirt and jeans girl. The Runaways have always been one of my favorite bands not just because of their music but their style and attitude. But I like all types of music. Favorite cities: Negril, Phuket, New York.
Q: Any advice for other bloggers?
A: Keep blogging about what interests you... Original content is key!
