"It was time to go bigger." Those were the words echoed by designer Alan Eckstein (one half of the duo behind celebrated label Timo Weiland) in reference to their very first runway show which was presented this past Sunday in the tents at Lincoln Center. With a vibe that couldn't channel the essence of summertime any more if it wanted to, the Spring/Summer 2012 collection included a number of pieces that are sure to be hot sellers come next season. One olive green varsity jacket in particular featured an unexpected blue and white striped detailing around the wrist and waistbands while a hooded anorak found itself emblazoned with a striking multicolor print. And if the collection seemed just a little too cool for school that's because it was; the label collaborated with Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture on several looks. Keep your eyes glued to the store shelves next year as pieces are guaranteed to go fast.
