Riding the tide of form-defying avant-garde fashion scene, Stine Ladefoged constructs beautiful and luxurious garments made with key elements of Scandinavian simplicity. Not only do her pieces draw attention to the dramatic shapes, but also to the intricate and innovating details on each piece of sculptural clothing. The details come to life through both draping and experimentation with different techniques on the knitting machine. Stine works with the combining of different gauges, such as fine and bulky gauge in order to create more variation in the volume and structure of the knit. The preferred materials used are high quality yarns and fabrics containing wool.
