Meshit is an Austrian fashion label created by Ida Steixner and Lena Krampf. Steixner and Krampf experiment with contrasting aesthetics and cultural concepts; Meshit designs combine a high attention to detail with clean shapes. Utilizing tight and oversized volumes, sensual fabrics and androgynous shapes, and classic attire with edgy finishes, Meshit provides all of the key pieces for their customers to create their own unique style. Appealing mainly to the urban trend-conscious crowd, Steixner's and Krampf's imaginative collections include stand-alone pieces for the fashion daring as well as easy to wear outfits.
Inspired by the Aki Kaurismaki's films centered on the working-class environment, Meshits AW13 collection includes styles such as work clothes, denim, jackets, and dungaree. Other styles include classic-cut coats, trench coats, pleated trousers and sweaters made of knit or fur. Pulling from the color palettes of Kaurismakis films, the collection focuses on vibrant hues such as turquoise, mustard, navy blue, red, and black.
