Following the success of their partnership, the Japanese brand has decided to bring the former Hermès creative director on permanently. Uniqlo has announced that Lemaire will be the artistic director of its new Uniqlo U line, as well as the the newly established Uniqlo Paris R&D Center.

The new line, which will be a collection of “elevated basics” for men and women, will be officially unveiled during Paris Couture Week in July.

“In working on the Uniqlo and Lemaire collection, I found Uniqlo’s commitment to product development, high quality, and teamwork truly impressive and inspirational,” said Lemaire in a statement. “It is a challenge and a joy for me to be part of the team designing UNIQLO LifeWear—everyday clothing that resonates with people worldwide.”

After their first Fall 2015 collaboration, Uniqlo extended its partnership with Lemaire for Spring/Summer 2016. Now, Lemaire will split his time designing for Uniqlo and his namesake line.
