Last night The Reed Space held an event to celebrate the release of the ever-illustrius singer/songwriter John Mayer's new album, Born and Raised. Mayer himself hosted the event, which marked the opening of a pop-up shop featuring photography by Gari Lamar Askew II, exclusive merchandise, and co-branded projects with Staple Design, Moleskine Notebooks, Reigning Champ, Barrett Alley, Incase and The North Face.
Mayer sipped Vita Coco and snacked on Endless Summer Tacos as he chatted with fans and industry professionals about his forthcoming album. It was a laid-back and intimate setting inside the shop. Just outside on Orchard Street, however, there were upwards of 300 people not-so-casually waiting to catch a glimpse of the wonderland that is John Mayer's body.
Gari Lamar Askew II's photo exhibit will be up throughout the week and all the pop-up products are available for purchase at The Reed Space store.
