The tagline for Industry of All Nations - the LA-based label specializing in ethically made, environmentally-friendly apparel and accessories - is "it's not what we do, it's how we do it." To illustrate this point, the IOAN team sent brand ambassador Jimmy Pham to the highlands of the Bolivian Andes with a video camera to document the manufacturing process that gives birth to the brand's hand-knit alpaca sweaters and cardigans.
Jimmy traveled from alpaca farms to factories and artisans' homes tracing the progress from beast to yarn to finished product. The personal process involves dozens of dedicated craftspeople each leaving their mark on every garment, ensuring that, as IOAN puts it, "each item is not just produced in Bolivia, but is a product of Bolivia."
