The Japanese brand Kolor designed by Junichi Abe served as the guest designer for Pitti Uomo 84. The show that closed an intense week at Pitti was housed in Sferisterio delle Cascine, a rectangle arena which hosted Pallone (very popular italian ball game) for more than a century. There were good vibes at the venue as the first look from the sportswear collection hit the runway. Technical fabrics and designs were prevalent even in minor details like on a golden zipper on a nylon polo and long jersey underwear.

The first thing that struck spectators was the fabrics. Abe explained earlier that he used a special Japanese nylon and even if you can’t touch them you can feel its nobility and lightweight around the movements of the models. The highlight of the show was the deep blue trench without a doubt. The trench has considerably large pockets and exhibited an incredible drape. The crowd whispered in admiration. Even the suits appeared extremely light and fluid, but still with allure. Throughout the show, prints with a touch of color brought a feeling of summer. “I used prints in this collection because I’m happy” the designer dropped. We are happy, too, right now.
