For sixty years the Fred Perry shirt has been an iconic piece and the standard bearer for the Laurel Wreath logo. Over these six decades some of music, fashion, and sport's influential figures have worn the shirt. As part of Fred Perry's 60 years celebration, the brand has compiled a list of its 60 most loyal and distinguished fans and requested their participation in a charity fund raising exercise. Designers, musicians and sports people were sent a a reproduction of the original 1952 Fred Perry shirt and asked to personalize the shirt with a birthday message or full-blown customization. All shirts will be displayed online in the 60 Year microsite at fredperry.com, in-store and at anniversary events before being auctioned for charity later in the year.
The impressive list of customizers come from more than 15 countries and include Colette, designer Raf Simons, Stussy, WOODWOOD, Christopher Raeburn, and British cycling champion Sir Bradley Wiggins, and many more. Check them all out here.
In collaboration with Dover Street Market and designed by renowned set designer Andy Hillman; Fred Perry will present the first 20 customizations exclusively at Dover Street Market in London on January 26th.
