September 06, 2012 BY CAPSULESNEWS

Every industry has it’s own jargon. When it comes to fashion, the lingo couldn’t be any more bizarre. Some of our favs include: Candy-up (v) — "To put on garments typically associated with the opposite sex. [Inspired by Luis Venegas’ Candy Magazine] See also: Transtastic." Lemme-in-ings (n) — "Fashion fans who attempt to attend runway shows uninvited. [Norwegian]" M.I.F. — "Abbreviation for missing in fashion. Generally used when editors, writers, P.R.s, et al. stop responding to emails during any of the major fashion weeks." Study up on the rest of the words you’ll need to know for Fashion’s Night Out at Fashdic.
