Gourmet/NFN (Not for Nothin') was started by three American-Italians experienced in contemporary menswear who wanted a brand to fill the void left between the American and Italian street wear markets. Gourmet features clothing, footwear, and jewelry inspired by the American-Italian style and made in Italy to stay true to the brand's origin. Each season, materials like jersey and fleece are fashioned into mainstay street wear styles, like cropped two-toned sweatpants with striped bottom hems and hoodless sweatshirts with hour glass detailing through the midsection. For summer '08, graphics inspired by food, religion, and music make statement pieces out of otherwise classically constructed men’s zip-up jackets, while traditional high-tops are reworked in every color under the sun. The brand also showcases flashy gold jewelry inspired by their trademark octopus logo and designed by Christian Tse. Check out the blog written by the men behind the brand for sneak peeks at the summer '08 line and fun pictures from their nights on the town. Gourmet is making its (capsule) show debut Jan 22 and 23.
