Capsule Paris: Filson

January 24, 2010 BY CAPSULESNEWS

It's no secret that classic American workwear is a trend in full gear. While Japan has had a fascination with classic Americana style for years now, it's only recently that Yankees have truly discovered the cool in their own history. Loads of brands have popped up that derive their inspiration from America's blue collar past, even Lanvin's Fall/Winter show ditched many of their signature delicate fabrics for sturdier leathers and canvases in hiking boots and backpacks. But sometimes it's the actually originals that do it best. Filson has been around for over a hundred years and they've used their full archive for their fall/winter collection. Authentic, functional, and plaid flannels (before it became a punchline to Brooklyn or hipster jokes).
