Assembly New York's Greg Armas is the type of guy who makes pulling double duty look easy. In addition to overseeing his Lower East Side boutique since its inception in 2008 - home to brands like Christopher Raeburn, Matthew Miller and Charlotte Stone - Armas has also designed the men's and women's collections of the same name since 2009. It's a lot to handle, which makes it seem like a near-miracle that both the boutique's brand assortment and the vision of the Assembly collection have only gotten stronger with each passing season.
The Assembly New York collection, which will be exhibiting at Capsule Las Vegas, is described by Armas as "future-primitive." In layman's terms, that means progressive design with an emphasis on organic technology. Each piece is designed to stand the test of time, while also being distinctly of-the-moment. That balancing act is precisely what allows Assembly to stand out from other in-house labels.
