People are still raving about (capsule)! Just check out this week’s DNR: Third time’s the charm—at least that’s what it seemed like at last week’s Capsule show, where the packed floors and lively booths solidified the three-season-old trade show as a formidable force during New York City’s market week.
In stark contrast to many of the quiet exhibit halls around the city, attendees trekked en masse—albeit carefully—over the five sloping floors of the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side. Nearly 2,000 showgoers made an appearance, from respected boutiques like Odin and Blackbird to fashion giants like Barneys New York and Holt Renfrew. The historic and charming former synagogue continued to serve Capsule well, thanks to its additional basement space, but with 70 directional labels on display, the venue was practically bursting at its seams.
