Capsule Gets Graphic: Paris Men's Recap SS13

Alexander Yamaguchi's bold Oriental-inspired print shows us how it's done

Kiss goodbye to boring tailoring and subtle neutrals—SS13 is all about peacocking. For Capsule Paris Men’s show last week, some of our fave designers were throwing tasty florals and edgy graphics at us faster than you can say ‘paisley detailing’. Here’s a sneaky peek at what you can expect from the summer of print love.

First off, forget florals being for girls—everyone from 18 Waits to MITCHUMM Industries is channelling the Spring favorite for a fresh take on the dapper gentleman. Team with some roll-ups and loafers for effortless laid back style.

Whilst MITCHUMM is showing a classic all-over floral print, Monitaly’s take on the style is more abstract, in muted earthy tones.

Beautiful Fül, on the other hand, have borrowed influence from the original summer print, the Hawaiian, with watercolor hues and Hula girl motif. M. Nii, staying true to their brand, also showed a Hawaiian-inspired shirt.

For those who are inclined to shy away from these bouquet beauties, Monitaly are also showing some sharp geometric graphics.

M. Nii follows suit.

2013 might be the year of bold statements and unconventional takes on the sharp button-down look, but if you’re more subtle gesture than centre-stage, print accessories might be the perfect way to pep up a neutral outfit. Gram’s Hawaiian floral sneakers come in camo shades, steering the bold print into neutral territories that the most understated purist can comfortably chart.

And from feet to head, cableami’s geometric graphic hat offers a bright pop of color to the plainest of outfits.

Look out for more print-tastic styles at Berlin today (July 5) and tomorrow (July 6).
