Call to Action: The Capsule Community and Disaster Relief Now

September 12, 2017 BY CAPSULE

Dear Capsule friends,

When a display of force by Mother Earth becomes disastrously tempestuous it is imperative that we care for one another and especially, most importantly, for those directly impacted and in harm’s way. Harvey, Irma, Katia and a crippling earthquake have wreaked havoc on North America over the past two weeks. As recovery and rebuilding are underway, we want to enable our community to help those in need.

We are partnering with I Support the Girls (ISTG), the international organization that facilitates the collection and distribution of primarily new/gently used bras, new underwear and sealed packages of feminine supplies (pads and tampons) to homeless and displaced women and girls. Through its national platform and infrastructure, ISTG leverages its network of 50 North American affiliates and five global affiliates to raise awareness and advocate for homeless women's rights. ISTG is extremely active in disaster relief and have a product distribution system in place and ready to go, right now. We’re helping them to help others; please join us.

Here’s how:

1. As always, non-profits need money. Everyone who works for ISTG is a volunteer. Financial donations cover shipping, products, gas, and the organization's disaster relief program.
