Social Atelier is a new T-shirt brand that helps make shopping an exercise in social activism. The company uses fashion to educate and communicate messages about social issues. Message tees proclaim messages such as Stop Genocide, and No One Wins In War. The tees are made from 100% certified organic cotton. Sometimes biting and direct, each shirt communicates and stands for an important issue in the world today. This season SA has chosen to focus on the genocide situation in Darfur and will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Solar Cooker Project. This project significantly improves the safety and survival of women in the refugee camps by alleviating the need for them to go out and seek cooking fuel, an action that puts them at severe risk for assault, rape, and even death. SA’s debut collection is available exclusively at Fred Segal Man. The spring summer collection will preview at the Capsule Show in July. Check it out!
