Brand to Watch: Manta Ops

Ramza Heirl launched his brand Manta Ops in the summer of 2015. After facing a series of personal challenges the 23-year-old felt compelled to share his story. So, he sat down at his computer and designed his first collection “Heartbreaker’s Club.”

The Seattle-based designer has continued to draw on his life experiences and uses each piece to share something about his past or his future. For his third collection titled "Healing Winds," Ramza uses 2016 as inspiration for a series of all-black garments that are emblazoned with striking 80s-inspired graphics—all of which represent something significant to his story.

In addition to creating his signature dystopian graphics, Ramza, who recently took home a Highsnobiety Crown Award for best “Under the Radar Brand,” has expanded with a cut and sew program that allows him to reimagine classic streetwear silhouettes in a new way.
