"For Fall 13, I'm looking for items that have a hand made quality to them. We are also looking for lines that are small and unique. We are always for great sweaters and outerwear. From a trend perspective we are looking for chunky knits and outerwear in wools with textures and easy blazers in textures." - Todd Barket, Unionmade, San Francisco

"As a progression from the streetwear explosion in recent months, this time around I think brands will move towards mixing streetwear and tailoring in a more cleverly considered way. Think suited-and-booted with an MA-1 bomber and a pair of sneakers. The eighties, Ray Petri, buffalo look is a great reference point." Reece Crisp, Buyer - Mens Designerwear & Contemporary, Selfridges UK

"We’re not looking for specific trends or key items - but some key words would once again be technical and functional regarding fabrics and fits." - Barbara Körmendi, Wood Wood, Berlin

"Every season, I look forward to seeing what new tricks the Naked and Famous guys have up their denim sleeves. As well as viewing new collections from designers we carry, I'm always on the lookout for new brands to add to the Unknown Union roster. Being based in an emerging market like South Africa means I have to focus strongly on price-point while still offering great quality and exciting design. - Sean Shuter, Owner of Unknown Union, Capetown

"As far as brands go we have an idea of what we need so will approach the shows with an open mind and see if there's anything that's right for us - we generally tend to pick-up a few new brands each season. We bought into colour and print in a big way for SS13 so it will be interesting to see if these trends carry over into AW13 and, if so, how they evolve. Coats are always a key item in an AW season and expect to see lots of textures and fabric interest." - Ben Andrew, Contemporary Buyer, Menswear, Liberty UK
