Christian McCann of Left Field NYC is not messing around when it comes to his SS13 collection, clothes made in America, and men's underwear. We checked in with the founder of the all-American brand to get his take on everything from Jesus sandals to the best thing about (capsule)—the free beer.

What are your favorite pieces from your new collection?

Old school 60/40 swim trunks with navy piping for Choctaw and triple-needle chain stitch work shirts made in America for Left Field.

What are you expecting to be big for SS13?

Men's undergarments—the last frontier.

What trend do you want to start?

Men spending as much effort and money on their undergarments as the rest of their wardrobe.

What trend are you hoping will die soon?

Big brands trying to cash in on American heritage when they sold out American manufacturing years ago.

What are you not taking off this summer?

My Angus Young shorts. It's too damn hot for anything else.

What do you wish people wouldn't put on this summer?

Jesus sandals.

Recent item of clothing you regret wearing?

Black jeans on a 100 degree day while on a motorcycle on the LIE.

Best piece of advice you've received?

Buy American.

Last movie you saw?

Do The Right Thing. It was a midnight showing at Sunshine Cinema. Nothing like hearing "Fight the Power" blasting in surround sound.

Last place you took a date?

Brand Nubian concert in Red Hook Park, they had a guy selling some great lethal rum punch on the DL.

Favorite thing to do on the weekend?

Frisbee on the beach.

Drink of choice?

Sobieski Vodka and Sprite (when in Greenpoint, drink Polish vodka).

What are you looking forward to the most at (capsule) this time around?

Free beer.
