10 Corso Como is finally making its way stateside with its first and only U.S. location. The Milan-based retailer announced that it will be setting up shop in New York City’s revitalized Seaport District.
Founder Carla Sozzani told WWD, that she will focus on “hospitality, food, and beverage” rather than fashion for the new 13,000-square-foot location, which is set to open by June 2017.
When the first 10 Corso Como opened in Milan in 1991, Sozzani, a former fashion editor, pioneered a new retail model that brought together fashion, art, music, design, and cuisine. Over the past 25 years, the concept shop has become a must-see culture and commerce destination with a huge global following. It has also expanded to Seoul, Shanghai and Beijing.
